My name is Moses Ndungu. I am 18 years old. I was born in Githunguri in Kiambu County. I was four years old by the time I joined the Caroline Home. When I was in class three I joined Trinity School in Maragua where I nished my primary education and got 365 marks. I later joined Gaichanjiru High School where I am in graduated from in form four. My best subjects in school are Biology and English. My hobbies are playing football [soccer] and riding bicycle, my talent is dancing. When I nish my high school education, I want to join University and study medicine. I want to be a doctor so that I can save lives of those who are dying and also to get cure to some disease. From the Home I have beneted from the quality education oered and the good guidance from the teachers. I am healthy and thank God for the Caroline Home.

Jane Muthoni

My name is Jane Muthoni. I was born in 2000 in Ndeiya. I am 18 years old. My mother died when I was very young. After her death we were left with our father. Since we were four children our father could not manage to take care of us and so he took us to our grandmother where we lived for two to three years. Since my grandmother could still not manage and provide all our needs, they brought us to the Caroline Home where I currently live. I went to the Trinity School in Muranga County where I studied up to class 8. I did my KCPE and got 368 marks and I later joined Tumutumu Girls High School in Nyeri County and I am now in form two [grade 10]. My hobbies are swimming and acting. I have various talents which are singing, drawing and dancing. My favourite game is football [soccer]. When I joined the home, this is where I got so many kind and loving people of which I had never come across before. I also now came to realize my talents and other gifts which I am good at. Also at the Home is where I got quality education and learnt how to cope with various life challenges. I thank God for giving me this opportunity and I thank God for this far I have come.

Ann Syombua

My name is Ann Syombua, I am 17 years old. I was born in Machakos on 3rd April 2001. I was born from a humble background in a family of four children. I had three brothers and I was the only girl. No one could take care of us so I was transferred to the Caroline Home in the year 2004. I got my primary education under the care of the home. After completing my standard eight and doing my KCPE , I passed with ying colours and I am currently a student in form one at OLC Mugoiri Girls High School in Muranga County which is a boarding school. My hobbies are swimming, reading, dancing and listening to music.. My favourite snack is choco-pie. My dream is of being a neuron-surgeon in future and my role model is this is Ben Carson. He inspires me a lot. I want to help people who are suering world-wide. My dream university is Oxford university. My role model in the home is mum (Dr. Anne Mungai) who is a teacher in Adelphi University. The way she and dad (Dr. George Mungai) strive to feed our empty stomachs inspires me a lot to work harder and help others. The Home is a warm place to be. It is all that one can desire. To live together in happiness and love with your brothers and sisters. Everyday God`s mercies and goodness are after us. What a great joy it is to have people you call your mom and dad, brothers and sisters and also a place you call HOME SWEET HOME

Joseph Kageni

My name is Joseph Kageni. I am fteen years old and live at the Caroline Home. I was born in a home village known as Githunguri in Kiambu County. I came to live at Caroline Home at a tender age of four after my parents passed away. I got my lower primary education at the home after being taught the basics of life. I was later taken to the Trinity school in Maragua. I got the education for free until I did my K.C.P.E where I got 384 marks which opened a new chapter of life. I am now studying at Gaichanjiru High School in form two. I have already settled down and I am learning how to live at peace with my brothers and sisters at the Home and also with the outside community. I have grown up to love reading story books and also helping in keeping the home compound clean. The home has shaped me to becoming a responsible citizen and has equipped me with skills to cope up with the life outside world. I am still studying hard to become an Accountant and to become a responsible citizen so that I may assist my fellow brothers and sisters and also some of the children who would occupy the home after us to become responsible citizens as a way of appreciating the good work done unto me.

Brenda Wanjiku

My name is Brenda Wanjiku. I am 18 years old. My hobby is swimming, my favorite food is pizza my favorite game is hide and seek. My talent is dancing since I learnt dancing from a group called FBI from Sakata Show. My favorite snack is Chinese omelet. I am in form four [grade 12] and I like reading school books and novels. I go to school at Mary Leakey Girls High School. I like that school very much since it has a conducive environment for learning without disturbance from the outside world. I was born in the year 2001 at a place called Voi in Mombasa County and was then transferred to a place called SabaSaba in Muranga County. My mum abandoned me when I was three years old when she could not be able to take care of me. I stayed for a whole year without a mother living with another grandmother who I did not know. Afterwards a man came from nowhere and brought me to the Caroline Home. I thank God very much for giving me a place to live and people to take care of me. May God bless you abundantly and always ful- ll your dreams.

Willy Mutitu

My name is Willy Mutitu, I am 18 years old, I was born in Kiambu County at a place called Ndeiya . I was brought to Caroline Home when I was 4 years. I attended school at Caroline Home for three years. Then we were sent to Trinity School in Muranga County. I completed my primary studies there and at the end of class eight I did my KCPE where I got 350 marks. I was admitted to Njumbi Boys High school which is in Muranga county. I am now in form two. Njumbi Boys was a school of my choice and I admired to join it. The school has produced many successful people in the society. It is the best in rugby, football and in basketball. Rugby is my favorite game and my hobby is swimming. I also like dancing and listening to story of the past life of Kenyans. My best dish is chapatti and roasted mutton. I like keeping rabbit as my pet. My best subject in high school is Agriculture. Some years to come I would like to be a Minister for Agriculture and also a lecturer in one of the greatest university like Cambridge or Harvard Universities. I am a studying Agriculture at KIambu Institute of Technology.

My name is Rahab Wanjiku. I am 16 years old, I was born on 12th December 2001. I am in form one, I was born in Naivasha where I lived with my grandmother and my cousin Joseph Kinundu. My aunt left us and went to live with other people. My grandmother looked after us until she reached some point where she could not look after us anymore. That`s when she heard about the Caroline Children Home being announced in the radio. She told us that we were to go for a visit somewhere, but we did not know we were coming to the Caroline Wambui Home. When we reached the home, we were left there and from that day we have being living here. When I grow up I want to be a doctor. My hobbies are dancing, singing and swimming. I like playing football and I like socializing with people.

My name is Joseph Maagu I am 18 years old and I am in form four [grade 12] at Kangema High school in Muranga County. My best bobbies are reading story books, novel and swimming. I was born at a place called Gitaru in Kiambu. I came to the Caroline Home at age of 5 years old. My talents are drawing and playing football. When I grow up I would like to be a doctor so as to save other people`s lives and help other orphans like me to be important people in the world. When I did my KCPE I got 301 marks and in my KCSE I plan to get a grade of at least B+ so as to have a chance of joining university and achieve my dreams.

My name is Jane Wangui, I am 18 years old. I was born at Ngemwa in Githunguri. I was 4 years when I joined the Caroline Home. I went for my primary education at the Trinity School in Maragua till I nished class 3 then I started my class four studies at the Caroline Home where I learnt until class eight. I got 251 marks and joined Kaharo Girls High School in Maragua in Muranga County. I love doing a lot of things in this world like dancing, singing and writing novels. When I nish my studies, I want to join Adelphi University in USA and train to be a Psychologist because I want to be an important person. I also like reciting poems.

Samuel Kamau

My name is Samuel Kamau. I am 18 years old. I was born at Njoro in the Rift valley region. I was 5 years old when I joined the home. I went for my primary education at the Trinity school when I was in class three (2008). I nished primary school education in year 2013 and passed well. I secured a place at Muranga High School where I graduated. I am currently at Technical University of Nairobi studying Aeronautical Engineering. My hobbies are playing and watching football [soccer], swimming, dancing and reading. I have seen great success in my life because I remember that at one point in my life when my mother died, (I never set my eyes upon my father), I was left with no one to take care of me. My two elder sisters and my brother ran away from home. My younger sister died. I was left with my younger brother. With no one to turn to, I ended up in the streets of Njoro market. I was however, evacuated from the place by my grandmother who, though kind hearted, turn out to lack the basic needs. I was brought to the Caroline Home by a good Samaritan. I would like to be a pilot when I finish my education. I would also like to help others to be like me.

My name is Stanely Kimani I am 17 years old and I live at the Caroline Home. I am in form one at Kirangari High School. My hobbies are reading novels and story books which help me improve in literature. My dream career is to study and do actual science and if this is not possible I will do journalism. I was born in Nyathuna District and I was taken care of by my mother who was a single parent for three years until her demise in the year 2003. I was brought to the home 2004 by my grandmother who did not have enough funds to cater for my needs. I have seen a great change, for the home has been proving everything one needs for day to day life. I also hope that I will achieve my dreams and goals set for life and help as many needy people and children.

Martha Wangui

My name is Martha Wangui I am 18 years old I am in Kiambu Institute of Technology studying Hotel management. I came to the Caroline Home in 2006 where I am getting education and other necessities including love from mom and dad. My hobbies are reading magazines and swimming. I like reading magazines about dierent types of foods, how to make them and spices in the market. I am working very hard to pursue my dream which is becoming a cateress in one of the big hotels in the first world. I would like to go to Utali College where I will study hospitality and tourism. After my education I would also come back to Kenya and help other orphans and the street children.
